Finding Your Personal Style

Finding Your Personal Style

Finding your personal style is a journey of self-discovery and experimentation.  Here are some steps you can take to help you identify and develop your unique personal style.

  1. Reflect on your lifestyle: Consider your daily activities, work environment, and social life. Your style should align with your lifestyle and be practical for your needs.
  2. Gather Inspiration:  Look for inspiration in fashion magazines, blogs, social media platforms like Pinterest & Instagram, and even in your everyday life. Save images you find containing outfits, colors, and styles that resonate with you.
  3. Analyze your wardrobe: Go through your current clothing and identify pieces you love and wear often. Consider what you like about them. Is it the fit, color, comfort, or style?
  4. Experiment and pay attention to fit: Don't be afraid to try new styles and combinations.  The way clothes fit you can dramatically affect your style. Invest time in finding pieces that flatter your body shape and make you feel confident.
  5. Think about mixing and matching: Consider buying pieces that can be mixed and matched. This can help simplify your choices and make it easier to express your style.
  6. Stay true to yourself: Remember that your personal style should reflect who you are. Don't feel pressured to follow trends if they don't resonate with you.
  7. Seek Feedback: Sometimes friends or family can provide valuable insights into what looks good on you or reflects your personality. Just remember this is just their opinion, so if you don't like their suggestions don't be afraid to say thank you, but go your own way.
  8. Evolve and adapt: Your style may change over time, and that's perfectly normal. Stay open to evolving your style as you grow and as trends change.

Finding your personal style is about expressing yourself and feeling comfortable in your own skin. Enjoy the process!
