
It's Walking Season, let's take a walk!

Hello Friends,
Spring is on it's way and with that comes warm weather and the desire to take a walk. There are so many benefits to walking, I thought I would list just eight of them here for you. They are:
- Walking improves your mood
- Helps with weight management
- Strengthens our muscles
- Reduces joint pain
- Helps with bone health
- Boosts our immune function
- Improves our mental clarity
And my personal reason for walking:
8. Walking makes me feel good. I get out of the house and breath in some fresh air. Not to mention the change of scenery does me good.
WOW, the thought of all these amazing benefits we get from walking really excites me!
Now, before we get our walk on, we need to take a second and talk about shoes. There's nothing worse than going for a walk with bad shoes on and having your feet hurt or worse yet getting a Charlie horse. So what makes a good walking shoe? Here are five questions to ask yourself:
- Are they comfortable?
- Are they supportive?
- Are they durable?
- Do they have breathability?
- Do they have enough cushion for my liking?
- (A bonus question) Do I need the support of having laces or will a pair of athletic slip-ons work for me?
The last thing for you to do is go find your style! Once you're on the home page, just type in "Shoes" in the search bar, that will simplify your search tremendously. From there you can have fun browsing through to find your perfect pair of walking shoes.
